What a superb weekend! Last week I was talking with Christophe, a good friend of mine from my Erasmus stay in Lisbon, and it seemed that we would be in Köln the same weekend. So we instantly agreed on meeting each other. He would be over there on tour with the French/Swedish Jazz singer Fredrika Stahl and I would be there on a trip with the bossers, some guys I studied with. But now comes the clue, we each were talking about another weekend. What a bummer. But hey, we wouldn’t call this life life if there weren’t any adventures. So I tried to convince a friend of mine to go on a Sunday afternoon trip to Köln. I sent some messages to Chrizz to let him know we were coming, and we set off in my car. Two and a half hours and a good chat with Pascaline later, we arrived at our destination, and walked around the city.
After a while, I decided to call Chrizz, but what seemed. I had the wrong number. Okay, no problem! Just go to the club, and see what happens. It was quite a surprise for Christophe to see me standing there I guess, since he hadn’t received any of my messages. Great meeting him again! One thing we need to do more often. What started as a crazy idea, almost nobody would actually really carry out resulted in one of my best Sunday evenings ever. Regarding Sunday always is the day before the work week starts again, this really was something different.
I really enjoyed the concert as well. You all should check her out at MySpace, and buy one of her albums. I really liked her being so honestly cute, and what a voice! One more cd on my to buy list.
