2011 has been declared the International Year of Forests by The United Nations General Assembly. The goal of this year is to raise awareness on sustainable management, conservation and sustainable development of all types of forests.
And to give a little teaser on those types of forests Yann Arthus-Bertrand produced the official film for the International Year of Forests, which was shown on the plenary session of the Ninth Session of United Nations Forum on Forests (24 January – 4 February 2011) in New York. Share it! Forests all over the world need it!
