2011 has been declared the International Year of Forests by The United Nations General Assembly. The goal of this year is to raise awareness on sustainable management, conservation and sustainable development of all types of forests.
And to give a little teaser on those types of forests Yann Arthus-Bertrand produced the official film for the International Year of Forests, which was shown on the plenary session of the Ninth Session of United Nations Forum on Forests (24 January – 4 February 2011) in New York. I did it! I booked a ticket to the heart of black Africa! I’ll be leaving – then most likely still government-less – Belgium the 21st of may for Entebbe, Uganda. From there the journey goes through the beautiful scenery and culture of Uganda and Rwanda to my end-goal Butare where Sarah and Bram are working and living since September 2010.

Zo luidde de kop van een krantenartikel in het Nieuwsblad vorige vrijdag. Ook de Gazet van Antwerpen, Het Belang van Limburg en Het Laatste Nieuws hebben vol interesse een artikeltje geschreven over het kookboek Koken op Kamp. De Standaard Online bleef natuurlijk ook niet achter.
Gisteren is Koken op Kamp officieel voorgesteld aan de pers op het Techniekenweekend van de 14e OLV Ten Bos op de Hoge Rielen in Kasterlee.
Het boek is af! En vanaf nu te koop in boekhandels, via je jeugdbeweging, via 123feelfree.be en natuurlijk bij T&T zelf.
Na de voorstelling staken T&T de handen uit de mouwen van hun kooksvesten en begonnen ze het avondeten voor de leden voor te bereiden. Een lekker gezonde wok die de jongens en meisjes zelf op het houtvuur moesten klaarmaken. Hieronder alvast wat sfeerbeelden.
